Verifying a Posterous Site for Google using a TXT Record

I finally got around to verifying this site on Google, but I had to create a TXT DNS entry. It took two tries to figure it out, so I'm posting this in the hopes that it saves someone some time. I created a TXT record for the root domain (I use Go Daddy), and put the entire text string provided by Google in the value field:

Gmail's SHVA Parameter

According to Mike Sego, a former Gmail engineer, "shva" is an acronym for "should have valid authentication". Apparently, the parameter is only included after a successful authentication.
